KUMiHiMO BRAiDING WORKSHOP FOR KiDS

Service Description

* RECOMMENDED FOR AGES 8 to 16* In this 3 hour workshop, young artists will discover the beautiful Japanese art of Kumihimo braiding – a traditional technique once used to embellish kimonos and ceremonial costumes. Participants will learn how to weave their own colourful braids, transforming them into friendship bracelets, keychains, or decorative bag charms to take home and treasure. Weaving is a rhythmic, meditative process that helps children focus, reduce anxiety, and build fine motor skills – making this workshop not only fun, but also a mindful and enriching experience. All materials provided. Recommended for ages 8 to 16.
