ADULT BEGiNNERS LiNO PRiNTiNG WORKSHOP
SATURDAY FEBRUARY 25 1PM - 4.30PM
- 90 Australian dollars$90
- The Pencil Case Art Studio
Lino printing is a fascinating art form that allows you to create your own unique designs that you will be able to use for printing multiple times, multiple ways on multiple surfaces. I have designed this workshop to be fun and achievable. You will, however, learn practical, transferrable skills and leave the workshop feeling confident that you now have the skills to further explore this rewarding art form from home! I have spaces available for 10 people to join me at the studio, which is located in the Armadale Hills area, approximately 45 minutes from Perth’s city centre. For privacy reasons, the exact address will be provided after your payment is received. Alternatively, get a group of 5-10 people together and I’ll come to you! Please note, this option will incur a travel cost of $25.00 for me to bring the workshop to you, anywhere in the metro area. All I need from you is a table that will seat all participants. For this option please email me directly - email@example.com. What to Expect? No experience necessary, all tools and materials supplied. This is a class for adults, but is suitable for ages 16 and over. You will be introduced (or perhaps reacquainted) with the art of linocut printmaking. I will guide you through drawing a design, transferring it to lino, carving and printing your own unique design. If you have an idea or an image that inspires you, bring it along, otherwise I will provide you with inspiration on the day. A protective apron will be provided for the duration of the workshop, but print-making can get messy, so I suggest wearing something you’re not super precious about. A toilet and bathroom are easily accessible and tea, coffee and light refreshments will be provided, however, feel free to bring your own snacks etc. You will have the option to purchase your own take-home lino printing kit at the conclusion of the workshop ($35.00 to be paid on the day) if you decide you want to further explore this versatile art form at home!
